Set up Cisco Meraki Cloud for integration with IoT Security through Cortex XSOAR.
Where Can I Use This?
What Do I Need?
IoT Security (Managed by IoT Security)
IoT Security subscription for an advanced
IoT Security product (Enterprise Plus, Industrial
OT, or Medical)
One of the following Cortex XSOAR setups:
An IoT Security Third-party Integration Add-on
license that includes a cohosted, limited-featured
Cortex XSOAR instance
A full-featured Cortex XSOAR server
When Cortex XSOAR connects to the Cisco Meraki Cloud API, XSOAR must authenticate
itself by presenting a valid API key. XSOAR can use an existing Meraki Cloud API key
or you can generate a new key for it to use.
Enable access to the Cisco Meraki Cloud API.
Log in to the Cisco Meraki Cloud dashboard and select OrganizationSettings.
In the Dashboard API access section, Enable access to the
Cisco Meraki Dashboard API.
Generate an API key.
Click your username in the upper right of the Meraki Cloud dashboard
and select My profile.
In the API access section, Generate new API
key.
Meraki Cloud associates the API key with the user account you used
when logging in to the Meraki Cloud dashboard and assigns the key
the same permissions as this account.
The API key provides authentication to all
of the organizations that have the API enabled and that you have
permission to access.
Copy the generated API key and save it for use later when configuring
an integration instance in Cortex XSOAR.
Meraki Cloud does not store API keys in plaintext for security
reasons, so copy and save it in a secure place now. If you lose the
key, you must revoke it and generate a new one.
