It is assumed that you already have AIMS 2 or AIMS 3
set up. You also need to have purchased the Palo Alto Networks add-on
from Phoenix Data Systems before setting up the integration.
AIMS 2
Set up AIMS 2 for integration with Device Security through
Cortex XSOAR.
Set up an AIMS API configuration to define the maximum number of device records that
AIMS will provide to Device Security and record the client ID that AIMS
generates. You will use the client ID when configuring the AIMS integration instance
in Cortex XSOAR.
These instructions are based on AIMS version 2.6.11. Device Security supports all
AIMS v2 builds.
- Log in to the AIMS system and click TransferAPI Configuration.
The API Configuration dialog box appears.Configure the AIMS API settings.Enter the following and then click Add:Name: Enter a name for your API configuration.Type: APIRecord Limit: Set the maximum number of device records that AIMS will provide to Device Security, keeping in mind that there is one record per device. In the following screen capture, the maximum is 2500 records. If there are more than 2500 records in the AIMS inventory that you want to import, increase the maximum to accommodate them. You can increase this as high as 100,000.
Record the client ID for use when configuring the AIMS integration instance in Cortex XSOAR and then click Close.
AIMS 3
Set up AIMS 3 for integration with Device Security through
Cortex XSOAR.
To integrate with Device Security, you need to create an AIMS 3
interface to generate an API key. You need the API key to configure a
Cortex XSOAR integration instance to authenticate with AIMS 3.
After authenticating with AIMS 3, Cortex XSOAR can import data
to Device Security.
- Log in to your AIMS 3 system and select System SetupInterfaces.Click on New Interface to configure the interface and generate an API key.
- Select Active.Enter a Name.Save the API Key to a secure location for use when configuring the AIMS 3 integration instance in Cortex XSOAR, and then click Ok to save the interface.
