Configure Palo Alto Networks as a Service Provider Through Common Services

Learn how to configure Palo Alto Networks as a service provider through the Common Services.
After you add an identity federation, you can configure Palo Alto Networks as a service provider by downloading the service provider (SP) metadata from Common Services. The SP metadata helps you configure your identity provider integration with Palo Alto Networks as an SP, so that you don’t have to provide the details manually.
There are various ways to access Common ServicesIdentity & Access, but only one is described here. Download the SP metadata from Common ServicesIdentity & AccessIdentity Federations.
  1. Use one of the various ways to access Common ServicesIdentity & Access.
  2. Select Identity & Access/Access ManagementIdentity Federations.
  3. Scroll to your identity federation of choice and Download SP Metadata.
  4. Go to your domain provider’s console and upload the file.
  5. Also in your domain provider’s console, if available, disable the app visibility. Palo Alto Networks does not support displaying the application icon to users. The console details look similar to the following, but all providers are slightly different.
