The WildFire public API key usage limits depend on the
type of subscription you possess (see the table below for usage
figures). The daily limit resets at 23:59 UTC. You are also limited
to 100MB sample sizes when submitting samples to the WildFire public
cloud. File uploads to the WildFire appliance are also limited to
100MB per file, though there are no daily limits on uploads and
queries. If you require extended API access limits, please contact
your Palo Alto Networks sales representative for more information.
Effective February 1, 2023, all submissions from Proofpoint
integration will be counted against daily WildFire API limits. This
change affects only Proofpoint integration through the WildFire
API. It does not affect any WildFire file submissions via other
Palo Alto Networks products, such as the NGFW platform, Prisma,
or Cortex.
