New Features Introduced in July 2021

Learn about the new features that became available in SaaS Security starting July 2021.

The following table provides a snapshot of new features introduced for SaaS Security in July 2021. Refer to the Administrator’s Guide for more information on how to use SaaS Security API and SaaS Security Inline.

Prisma SaaS is now SaaS Security API. However, you will still see Prisma SaaS in some of the SaaS Security API documentation screenshots until we apply this change throughout the documentation.

Scan and remediation support for Microsoft Teams	You can now connect a Microsoft Teams instance to SaaS Security API to scan for chat messages and file attachments to ensure your company’s data is secure. When SaaS Security API discovers vulnerabilities in chat messages, you can move the asset to User Quarantine to automatically remediate those incidents: when a user posts sensitive content in a chat, it is immediately flagged and hidden from others. Only the user who posted the message can view it and observe that it’s flagged due to sensitive content. See Begin Scanning a Microsoft Teams App.
New Enterprise DLP data patterns	Enterprise DLP Add-on now includes 110 new data patterns for a total of 865. New data patterns detect medical terminology (medical conditions) for 39 languages. Additional healthcare patterns detect health plan registration number and Unique Device Identifiers (UDI) for medical devices in the United States. Data patterns also include 52 license plate numbers for the United States, license plate numbers for 5 additional countries, and national IDs for 2 countries. New patterns for Japan detect driver’s license numbers, health insurance card numbers, and tax ID numbers.
