Palo Alto Networks now offers general availability to a high-security Advanced WildFire Public Sector Cloud in US regions to Public Sector (Federal, State, Local, High Education, etc) customers who need to operate within a high-security environment.
The Advanced WildFire Public Sector Cloud complies with Federal Encryption Standards (FIPS 140-2) and meets FedRAMP Moderate Baseline / Impact standards, while operating using a newer codebase, similar to that of the current Advanced WildFire Commercial Public Cloud, for up-to-date analysis capabilities.
To access the new Advanced WildFire Public Sector Cloud, you must have a valid SKU (contact your
Palo Alto Networks sales contact for info about addon SKUs) associated with your Advanced WildFire subscription and configure your NGFW and Prisma Access devices to forward unknown files and email links for analysis to the following: https://pubsec-cloud.wildfire.paloaltonetworks.com.
Existing WildFire U.S. Government Cloud Customers:
Existing customers will be able to access the Advanced Wildfire Public Sector Cloud by reconfiguring their firewalls to use the new URI.
In addition to configuration updates, you will need to make any Advanced WildFire API calls that use the Advanced WildFire regional clouds to use the new base URI.
The existing WildFire U.S. Government Cloud (which complies to FedRAMP moderate certification standards) is planned for decommission on November 30, 2024. At that time, the existing URI will be redirected to the Advanced WildFire Public Sector Cloud.
For details about the new cloud offerings, contact your Palo Alto Networks sales representative point of contact to discuss any additional operational details.
