Bootstrap the VM-Series Firewall on Azure Stack HCI

The VM-Series firewall on Azure Stack HCI supports bootstrap using an ISO image. Bootstrapping allows you to create a repeatable and streamlined process of deploying new VM-Series firewalls on your network because it allows you to create a package with the model configuration for your network and then use that package to deploy VM-Series firewalls anywhere. Perform the following steps to bootstrap the VM-Series firewall on Azure Stack HCI using an ISO image:
  1. Log in to Windows Admin Center.
  2. Select HCI Cluster and go to Virtual Machine > Settings.
  3. Go to Disks.
  4. Delete the DVD Drive on IDE Controller number 1 at location 0.
  5. Click Add disk.
    You can use an existing virtual hard disk or ISO image file.

  6. Click Save Disk Settings.
    If IDE Controller 0 is at location 0, the bootstrap ISO must be under IDE Controller 0 at location 1
