View Power Statistics of the PA-7500 Series Firewalls
Use this reference to view and interpret the power statistics of the PA-7500 Series
Firewalls.
Use the following information to learn how to view active power statistics on a PA-7500
Series firewall to help you ensure power redundancy and to plan for growth.
The power numbers provided by the show chassis power command
represent power calculated by the firewall power management software and does not
represent the exact measured power. The difference allows margin for thermal
conditions and component aging factors. This CLI output helps you know how much
power is required to prevent the appliance from overloading under extreme
conditions.
-
Using a terminal emulator, such as PuTTY, launch an SSH session to the
firewall.
- Run the following
command:
admin@PA-7500> show chassis power
- View the output for information on the status of each component and the current
power rating.
For example, the following table shows the CLI output (in table format) from a
PA-7500. The output shows each front slot (1 to 9), each back slot (10 to 11), the
status of each component, and the rated power consumption for each component.
