View WAN statistics for multicast traffic
between a branch site ION device and a connected data center ION device
for devices running software version 6.0.1 or higher. You can view
WAN statistics for the past hour on different links between the
branch site and the data center site.
- Select ManageSetupDevicesClaimed DevicesConfigure the deviceRoutingMulticastWAN Statistics.Expand a data center site (for a branch device) or a branch site (for a data center device) to view the WAN statistics.Since the branch site is a multicast receiver, it will not transmit information. The value for TX PKTS and TX BYTES is NA. Similarly, a data center site will only transmit information.
Field Description State Indicates if the neighborship is active between the data center ION device and the branch ION device. Uptime Indicates the time for which neighborship is active between the data center ION device and the branch ION device. Secure Fabric Indicates the VPNs used for multicast traffic between the branch site and the data center site. RX PKTS Indicates the number of multicast traffic packets received at the device interface. RX BYTES Indicates the multicast traffic in terms of bytes received at the device interface. TX PKTS Indicates the number of multicast traffic packets transmitted from the device interface. TX BYTES Indicates the multicast traffic in terms of bytes transmitted from the device interface. (Optional) Click Statistics to view the detailed statistics for the interface. You will be able to view WAN multicast statistics only after your tenant has been migrated to the new data lake infrastructure. If you cannot view statistics, contact the Palo Alto Networks Accounts Team.
