Prisma SD-WAN supports different High Availability (HA) topologies for ION devices at branch sites. Use the following table to view the topology as per your device platform and configuration.
TopologyModels Supporting the Topology
Configure Branch HA with Gen-1 Platforms (2000, 3000, 7000, and 9000)ION 2000, ION 3000, ION 7000, ION 9000
Configure Branch HA with Gen-2 Platforms (3200, 5200, and 9200)ION 3200, 5200, and 9200
Configure Branch HA with Gen-2 Embedded Switch Platforms (1200-S or 3200-L2)ION 1200-S and 3200 (L2)
Configure Branch HA for Devices with Software Cellular Bypass (1200-S-C-5G)ION 1200-S-C-5G
Configure Branch HA for Platforms without Bypass PairsION 1000, 1200, or for any model (with or without bypass pairs).
Configure Branch HA in a Hybrid Topology with Gen-1 (3000) and Gen-2 (3200) PlatformsION 3000 and ION 3200
After you have selected your topology model, configure physical connections and interfaces as per your topology model. The next step is to configure HA groups and then add your ION devices to the newly created HA Group. You can then edit the HA Group and the HA Group Membership. Read on to perform the following tasks that will help you configure branch HA.
