Onboard a Bright Security App to SSPM

Connect a Bright Security instance to SSPM to detect posture risks.
For SSPM to detect posture risks in your Bright Security instance, you must onboard your Bright Security instance to SSPM. Through the onboarding process, SSPM logs in to Bright Security using administrator account credentials. SSPM uses this account to scan your Bright Security instance for misconfigured settings. If there are misconfigured settings, SSPM suggests a remediation action based on best practices.
To onboard your Bright Security instance, you complete the following actions:

Identify the Account for Accessing Bright Security

To access your Bright Security instance, SSPM requires the following information, which you will specify during the onboarding process.
ItemDescription
EmailThe login email address of a Bright Security user.
(Required Permissions) The user must be assigned to the Admin or Owner role.
PasswordThe password for the Bright Security user account.
Identify the Bright Security account that SSPM will use to access your Bright Security instance. Verify that the account has the required permissions as shown in the preceding table.

Connect SSPM to Your Bright Security Instance

By adding a Bright Security app in SSPM, you enable SSPM to connect to your Bright Security instance.
  1. From the Add Application Page (Posture SecurityApplicationsAdd Application), click the Bright Security tile.
  2. Under posture security instances, Add Instance or, if there is already an instance configured, Add New instance.
  3. Choose the option to Log in with Credentials.
  4. Enter the login email address and password for accessing your Bright Security instance and Connect.
